           The last part of our music video was to edit and put it together. I watched most of the scenes and cut out what needed to be done. I like the video that has come out of it. I wanted to try to use pinnacle studios again but i just cant get the hang of it. Honestly its much easier to transfer from the drive to the laptop but the program itself just isn't working for us. So instead e did it the longer way to use imovie. What we did to make this happen took a while but in the end it made it the best way for us to put our film together. First i used the cord to connect the camera to my computer at home. Then i saved everything to my computer and made a file for the film shots. Then i opened google and transferred it over to the google drive to make it easier to access from my phone. Then downloaded the clips onto my phone from the google drive. I know it was easier to just get the file and email it to my phone but sadly when i did that it wasn't working. For some reason when i opened it on my phone it wouldn't load. Then i thought about it and figured maybe it wasn't loading completely because it wasn't in the proper program. so i held everything down and pressed save so it would all go to my camera roll. But it wasn't going to my camera roll either so i had to completely abandon that idea and figure out a better but sadly longer way to get it there.since we could edit this in class together we decided we would share to to each other so everyone could add and do their fair share. So my share was getting it all on to the program and looking through which clips we were actually gonna use in the project. Their wasn't much that i didn't use just some of the shots of the beach. Lily edited through to the middle and aniyah went and finished the rest.Then i went back and looked through to see if anything could be better. But The girls and I did that together so it was more of constructive criticism. We didn't make many changes to the video after it was edited. It was mostly just cutting tiny bits off the ends to make everything come together better. I watched it so much because i wanted it to really smoothly transition from shot to shot. We got a pan in and dancing shots in. There some zoom ins to it too. we even got some shot of the seagulls flying so we could add sound over it. This process went a lot better than before with the commercial. I liked the fact that it came together better and didn't have so many complications like the commercial. I wanted so bad to get used to pinnacle studios because its so much easier to get the film onto the actual program but i just don't like the way its set. I grew up using Imovie so using it now and editing with it comes easier to me. That's it for blogging on editing bye.

film blog the beach sucess

          so today was the first day back from break and boy was it hard to get together to film. As you know in the previous weekend we got rained out on the only day we could meet and we didn't film through the rain because it didn't have the right vibe. Obviously, we were on break because of thanksgiving. The point of it was to spend time with our family. The whole week I was free but lily wasn't. Then when she got back we were both busy on Saturday. I know what you were thinking about how about just meet with Anyiah? well, she was busy with family and also Anyiah is currently injured. she has a brace around her knee and crutches in sand don't mix well at all. Lily and I finally got to a time where both her parents and my parents allowed us to go out to do the project. We only had about an hour so it became very stressful. Everybody has trouble communicating with their parents and I think I was so stressed I wasn't properly communicating to my mom how bad I wanted to get a good grade and take time to film and not just rush something together. I was disappointed because we originally had people that were gonna come to be background. They were gonna dance and lip sink. The most important job of theirs was bringing in the props. But that failed. Everyone had to cancel because of either their own projects or because their parents wouldn't let them go out on a Sunday because of homework and church. But I think me and lily made it work pretty well for just the two of us. We first took our pan shots of the beach which was absolutely stunning let me tell you we caught it at the perfect time of the day. Then we moved on to getting shots of the seagulls so we could add the sound of them making their noise for the more beach vibe. Then we took the time to place the tripod perfectly so we could start filming without having anybody behind the camera since it was just the two fo us. We successfully shot everything we needed and overall I say it was a good learning experience that you cant always rely on other more than you can rely on yourself. If I would have taken responsibility for the beach supplies the shoot would have been a lot more fun and true to the original video. I was actually happily surprised to watch the shot and realize how well we made it work even though it was just the two of us with nothing else to work with.  My favorite scene to shoot was the end scene because we got to jump into the water all dramatically. We also through in some cartwheels here and there for a splash of fun. I'm excited to see how this all gets put together. A lot of work went into making this go smooth so I hope it doesn't go to waste. I'm glad I chose this group again we always get things done even if we can't do it under the best circumstances.

film blog the beach failure

         For today's filming blog we had some troubles because of the weather. It was raining which made it hard to film due to the fact that we cannot get the equipment wet. Not only could we not get the equipment wet but we couldn't get the right scenery. The video is supposed to take place on a beautiful summer day with the sun shining and all. When it did stop raining it was all cloudy and gray outside wasn't fitting for the theme. I was really upset because of all the issues that happened the last timed we filmed so many things went wrong. I wanted things to go better and not worse. But next weekend we will have the chance to shoot even better footage and make it very good. In all honesty, it would be better to finish filming next weekend.  The weather really ruined everything. Also if you guys didn't know aniyah is injured and has a whole brace around her knee. It was extremely difficult to get around and I felt so bad having her there. I felt like she felt useless and I just wanted her to know it was ok and she has already given so many great ideas that make up for her not being able to dance. I was also really scared to be out in the rain with a camera. It obviously not my property which means I would have to pay the money back for a new camera if anything were to happen to it. We wanted to follow our backup plan but it just didn't have the same vibe as our original. It was gonna be as great as we thought it could really be. The vibe was just so perfect and I didn't want to let go of the beautiful music video it could have been. Again lily and aniyah are the best partners to work with I really don't want to ever work with anyone else. They make things ao easy to get work done. We work so well together and our ideas just glide so smooth its crazy. I feel like we all bring different parts to the table that make this one good idea freaking amazing. Making the ideas and putting everything together can be really hard to transition. We want this one to look good and get better than a 90. This will go great after the next week of filming this break gives a perfect chance for perfect takes. We are gonna edit and then get the props all together again. This time I wanna really try to match the outfits to characters in the movie so it looks even betterWell, this is all for now ill update this blog after next week of filming.

The storyboard

  so this is our storyboard. This took a while because we had changed the whole song so it came out better in the production point of view.

 1. costumes

We are gonna have bathing suits on. Also shorts and all in a variety of colors of bathing suits.

2. Lighting

 For the music video, it has very bright lighting. So its gonna be like sun lighting that brightens up the whole view. It has to be controlled because the sun can change lighting during the day.

 3. Acting

We have to be happy and some scenes and dancing in others. So the song has the same moods. We have to act very happy in one scene and then when the songs change beat go to dancing.

 4. Makeup

For makeup, we don't know if there will be any. None of us really wear makeup on a daily basis so it would be a change for the music video. But there doesn't seem to be a lot of makeup in the video on the girls so if we did it would be neutral.

  5.props

 Props in the music video theres beach balls and surfboards so we will try to do the same. Of course, we would have to match up the colors in both videos.

 6. Scenery

 for scenery, we are gonna be at the beach with the water in the background. we might film by a lifeguard tower if they let us. otherwise, we are just gonna find a clear spot on the beach

 Angles- 

pan, medium shot, wide shot, tilt, high angle, low angle, and zoom in and out.

Editing-
 Cut shots from one activity to another. Than from playing in the sand to dancing by the shore.

sound-
We might be adding some wave and bird sounds in the background in the starting in the pan from one side of the beach to the other.

Planning blog

               So today is second day working on this project. We realized today that the past song that we chose was a little difficult to film a music video too. So we chose a new song and its great because its the same genre. Its called surf crazy from teen beach movie.We figured that this would be easier to film because it has a definate location that has water.
      Location: We are gonna be filming at the beach if all goes well. The weather has gotten pretty chilly lately and its gonna be cold filming in surf wear. If anything goes wrong we are gonna find a pool to film at. Or even film on a boat.
      Props: Its a beach themed music video so we are gonna have a lot of beach stuff. There are gonna be beach balls and probably sand castles. Maybe some surf boards and some boogy boards.
      Costumes: I am gonna be wearing a red bathing suit with white shorts. Lily is going to be wearing some type of bathing suit with  shorts and anyiah is gonna be wearing a tank top and shorts. We may be having some surprise people who are gonna help film and be extras in the back and they will be wearing swimming trunks.
       Health and safety: Being near water will not be too dangerous because we all know how to swim. We are all gonna have proper clothes on so we can stay warm. And we will be putting on sunblock so we will not be getting sun burned.

Intro to new project music video

        Well last class was the last day of our commercial . Sad to see it go but time for a new project. We have a new project its gonna be a music video 1 minute to a minute and 15 seconds. We made a couple mistakes in the last but we will be able to restart fresh and new and get things done right. Filimg was hard but we now know that we need to check for all eqiuppment and make sure there is nothing missing. We all are better at editing and can do it effeciently now. We even get to film it out of schools. This is going to be great. We are using a mutal favorite song called surf crazy from teen beach movie
        The genre of the music video is pop. We will be putting in lots of different shot as the original video does. They have panning shots going from room to room and zoom ins on people dancing. We are still figuring it out but we are leaning towards cutting the song in half and use the middle of the song. We have shots that are gonna be in one color and than in another color. Than change panninng shots into different colors.

final day of editing

              Well, this project is coming to an end. After day one of filming going crazy andus not being able to find the parts that the camera needed. Then the camera dying on top of all of that. Then day two runs around and we had 30 minutes to shoot the entire commercial. By the way, did I mention we had to refilm everything because someone deleted all of our footage off of our other sd card! You must be thinking "this must get easier for the girls". It really didn't like at all. WE come around to our first day of editing and it was as simple as grabbing the sd card and plugging it in to dump the footage. Well with our luck it didn't get any easier. We go to the bin to get our sd card, and guess what happened? It was nowhere to be found. We first thought oh maybe we didn't get the number right, so we go to our check out paper and look for the card we took. WE got the number right but obviously, something was wrong if we couldn't find it where all the other cards were. So we ask and we were told that it might be in one of the cameras. We go sit down forgetting how many cameras there actually are and how long it would take just one person to check every single one. So the four of us worked together to look through every camera and find the sd card. we looked through a lot of cameras and the stack of ones left was getting short. The tension in the room was pretty high because if we did not find that sd card we were about to completely fail that whole project. Finally, there was one camera left and lily picked it up and there it was our sd card!! I have never been so anxious to find such a little piece of plastic. But that little piece of plastic would make our break our whole grade. We finally get t it plugged in and dump our footage and start looking through everything. We were pretty harsh on ourselves honestly. We picked on our every move and were very strategic in what we wanted to keep and what we wanted to cut out. But the class was gonna end soon so we had to wrap up and we got about a little less than halfway through editing projects. We go to class today just with the simple task of getting computer number 8 and finishing our editing. Well of course with our luck during this project we get to class and no computer number 8. In fact, it was the only computer missing. We sat down and waited till after the guy took attendance to go asking around trying to find it. So after all of that, we sat down and I noticed these girls i had never seen in my period that stayed for their study hall. They had the number 8. I had told them that and they said ok we will give it to you when we ware done "we will be done soon". Around ten minutes later she comes and gives me the laptop and it completely dead. Of course no we only have like 15 minutes left and we had to spend it waiting for the computer to get enough charge. Once it did i saved everything to google so we could work on it from another device and we got just a little more done. But for next class we will have to finish the other half. And hopefully nothing goes wrong this time. See you guys later.

Final fimling

      Hey guys. Today was a rush everything was absolutly crazy. As you know all the stuff that backed us up last class. We had to film in 30 minutes which was enough to get a lot of good shots. When we got back we checked our files. Everything was gone thankfully we re-shot everything. WE learned our lesson and checked to make sure we had all the right peices and enough battery to film. It was hard to find a camera that had enough battery. We went down and changed back into our clothes and headed for the field. I did the fimling again because the girls are the actresses. Today was better for filming anyways. The sun kept at the same point and it was the same lighting for every shot. We found some different mats to use to make the fall look more real. It worked out well and we were all really happy with the results. Now lets talk about the actual filming processes.
       Fimling in 30 minutes was hard but we did it. We got more angle this time. We got some really cool shots of the gatorade bottle. Its almost like the gatorade bottle was a model. WE got streching shots. And even some footage of the celebration at the end.The girls ran a lot it but i applaud them because they ran each time like it was their first. They were champs. Getting the perfect angle for each shot was pretty hard but i think we made it work. The scene where lily falls it actually looks real. We found this old football mat that was the same size of lilys body. We put it at an angle that you couldnt see the mat but you could see lily fall. Then the angle switches to a crane shot pointing straight down at lily. Then aniyah runs up and tries to help. They had to pretend to be best friends by choice and competetors by choice. I can say they are both very good at acting. We had a lot o fun filimg i like how we knew to be seriour but we werent afraid to have fun and laugh.
       Today we were supposed to come in and start editing. But guess what. THE PROGRAM WASNT WORKING . We have less time to get the project perfect now . In afraid we wont be able to make it as perfect as we wanted. We have one period to get it in. We want it to be really good and clean cut. We dont know exactly when tghe program is gonna be back up but we hope its up soon. Oh and the camera die pretty quick in between periods. I felt bad i felt like it was over heating in the sun. It black so the heat is like attracted to it. Well that all i have time for today . see ya later guys.

filming

          Hey, guys whats ups. Today's blog will be about the filming process of our commercial. We started the day by getting our equipment sign out forms in so we could take out a camera, tripod and sd card. Next, we head to the locker room and change into all of our costumes for filming. Lily and aniyah got into the running clothes and I got into my "coach" outfit. We walk out to the track to film the running. but we get out everything to start we realize that we made the mistake of not checking if we had everything. We didn't have the attechment piece to connect the camera to the tripod. By the way, the field is like a 7-minute walk to and from the AICE media room. Thankfully weren't up in building 21 third floor or we wouldn't have had any time to film anything. 

          You will never guess what happened next. I finally run back to the track to get started with attaching the camera to the tripod. I open the camera to put the sd card in and we film for about 2 minutes and the camera dies! Now we have to completely restart. We had to take the sd card out and detach it from the tripod and this time Lily and anyiah had to run and go get a new camera. They really ran there and ran back so we would have at least 30 minutes to film. So they got back now the gatorade is warm (very gross). we are all sweating because the sun was beaming on us and we had to share the track with other people who had our same idea. We get everything set up we adjust our camera and we finally start shooting. NOw let me tell you about the actual process.

          I was in charge of the shooting of the film. I set the first angle to show the round corner of the track so show the girls running laps. We got some extra footage like showing them stretch. We got some close-ups of the clothes they were wearing kind of like a full-body scan. But the most fun shot was getting the scene where lily has to faint. She used the padding from the track runners to support her fall from the eye-level shot. Then we cut and started again when we got her laying on the track from a crane angle. We shot this part so many times because we really wanted to get it perfect. the girls ran a lot and I felt bad because we kept retaking the scenes and it was so hot. But we were all troopers for getting through that rough start with all the problems hitting us when we were trying to film. We had to rush back to make it in time to be back by 12:45. I had to stay a little late and dump the footage but thankfully everything worked out in the end. ILL see you on Monday byee.

Hey guys! Today we took the time to storyboard in class today. Though we had already gone over what we wanted in previous classes when we had time. We all really liked the idea we made up. I think I have already explained it but we are also getting our camera angles done. We are working on minimizing the number of shots we are gonna take. I'm really scared for filming and I don't want to just make something "ok" I wanna make something and makes jaw drops when people watch it. Saying "wow I can't believe those girls made something so clean-cut and professional. Filming should be next class we have to sign out a camera and tripod and sd card and make sure everything gets back into the case and nothing gets lost. We have to do this thing called dumping when we finish filming so we can get everything on the computer. Playing around with the editing system is gonna be really fun and I'm super curious to see al the sounds and effects I get to put into the film to make it ten times better.  I think its gonna be really cool to edit all the clips and see what the final project is. Lily anyiah and I have the costumes together I'm pretty sure and it should all come together pretty smoothly. Props are gonna be the bottle and the whistle and i think we are gonna add some extra noises like splashing and running.Wish us luck filming See ya next time bye.

  

                Hey guys, so today is 10-14-19. Wow the end of the quarter is in 3 days. We have completed our idea for the commercial. Today we spent class time learning the editing program. I really like our idea and i think we can make it really good if we all put our best foot forward. We learned some new vocab as well. My favorite being dump. Basically it means to take footage off the sd card and "dump" it onto the computer. I took some really good notes on the whole process. So basically we learned to get the best cleanist cuts we have to let the camera roll for a little bit before we actually start the scene. This is the "background'. I completely forgot to mention that we are using the pinnacle studio to edit. We also learned everything about the way the camera works. We got to see the tripod and the way it extends and tilts. I think we are gonna use a crane angle because the tripods can extend up and tilt down. Lily wasn't here so we didn't get to talk about how we were gonna take every shot but we will facetime later and figure it out.
              For the shooting we are going to be doing it on the track. when lily "faints" the crane shot is gonna work really well because its gonna show her on the ground. Theres gonna be a lot of different takes. We are gonna have a lot of different angles. We dont want a boring eye level commercial the whole time. It gonna be fun fresh and eventful. We are currently working on getting all the props and outfits. I think I almost have everything but the whistle. Im qalso really proud of my notes they are organized by color. All tghe definitions are in red all directions are in blue and the important points are in pink. I made them pretty detailed so i think i got everything i need to properly edit and be sucssesful. I think when i go home im gonna try to practice my lines and maybe some up with some new funny lines. I wanna see if i can get the editing app on my computer so we will see how that goes.
          Being able to edit the shots should come easy to me because i used to film shows of my dolls when i was little and edit on my ipad. I was pretty young and recently i looked back and none of them were saved to my moms desktop. So im really gonna be careful saving and having copies of our project. Its gonna be horrible if we get the whole thing done and it all get deleted if the computer bugs out. The editing process will almost be as fun as the filmig. I know we are gonna laugh at ourselves so hard, Watching all the outtakes. I think taking a lot of takes will be good . Even if we get a perfect shot sometimes its the background that really makes the scene look and sound nice. I think we are gonna make up some funny quote for the end of the commercial kinda like how subway has "eat fresh". Something that goes along with the Gatorade. Today was a pretty calm day i like learning more about the filming and editing process. i think i might be changing my interests. It would be so awesome to be best director. Make movies that bring people together. Some how i always get off topic talking to you guys. anyways hope your day was nice. see ya.

              Hey guys so today we recruited a new member of our team. Lily and I made a new friend and her name is Aniyah. Now we have a crew of three. We watched some commercials yesterday over facetime and we discussed what we wanted our topic to be. We have decided on doing a Gatorade!!!! We came up with a fun concept thanks to the brilliant mind of Aniyah! Lily and I came up with the script ideas and costumes. Now all is left is to put together our storyboard. Our props are pretty simple but we think that our commercial should be really funny to some people. I was hesitant to work with two of my friends but it turns out it works really well because we all bring different assests to the table. We want to go out to the track and have lily and aniyah be the track runners and i will be the coach. I will be yelling at them to run faster and get a better time. All of a sudden lily will pass out from dehydration. We will put the track padding under lily so when she pretends to faint she wont hurt herself. Then the scene will cut to a shot of aniyah picking up the Gatorade and running to lily with a towel to cool her down. Aniyah opens the gatorade and has lily take a sip . From that one sip lily gets a bolt of energy and the scene goes to her running a track compition and winning. Aniyah and I will gift her with a bottle of gatorade after she crosses the finish line.

     Hey, guys, I'm back. Today is October seventh two thousand nineteen. Today was a pretty calm day. The rain always makes things better. We sent in out first blogs today. I've had mine typed up for a while but I didn’t know how to send it. I really enjoy typing about my life. It is like sending a letter about my day to anyone who cares to read it. We got the project last class but I didn’t know it was going to be so exciting. Im actually a little nervous because i dont want to fail and i want it to be really impressive.

     We worked on our project for the first time today. I think its gonna be a lot of fun but I just want to get a good grade. Lily and I looked at commercials from all the topics and all of them have one thing in common. The brand's name is all over the commercial whether its on trucks or banners or shirts or walls. It everywhere to promote themselves. Lily and I still haven't really decided on what topic. We are trying to figure out what we want the vibe or feel of the 30-second commercial. We want to do a topic that isnt gonna be in everyone elses commercial. We want to make our project special in everyway. In a way this project is kinda like our baby and story boarding and planning and plotting it us teaching it to grow.

     We are feeling more excited about shoes and coffee. Coffee would be nice but shoes would consist of more shots and would be a lot more eventful. Coffee commercials really have to be different for them to be good. We want to make a really interesting commercial and make the best ones possible. We don't want it to be like just any commercial. Research hasn’t sparked any really good ideas but hopefully tonight when we facetime we can think of something awesome.Filming will basically be my favorite part of the projects we do this  year . Introductory

 Im Stephanie, i was born in 2004. That makes me 15 years young. Im pretty mature i like to think. Ive gone through a lot for only living 15 years. i choose to use the hard times and expirences as lessons and live by those lessons for as long as i can . I believe that everything has a purpose, and everything happens for a reason. sounds a little redundant because it kind of is. I really like this idea of blogging. i think in this day and age kids are so brought down by adults all the time we are scared to inform them on how we feel and how are day went. Most adults tell us we are to young to have an opinion or that we dot know any better bu we are a lot more informed in this generation than they were as kids. sorry that was a bit of a rant, lets get back to talking about me. Im trying to do my best in school because i would like to achieve my goal f being a general pediatric surgeon. Lets start off with mt childhood
      All my life i was a dancer ballet and tap and a little gymnastics here and there. i quit about 5 years ago right before i got into middle school. Even though sometimes i do gymnastics for fun because it calms me. Currently im on the lacrosse team for FLHS it is pretty fun but different from what im used to doing. i got into liking the medical field when my sister started watching shows like bones and greys anatomy. me and my sister dont get along to well but we do have love for the field in common. she is currently schooling to be a trauma surgeon. Though greys anatomy is almost nothing like what a actual hospital was like it did give me a passion for waning to make people feel better. Originally i wanted to be a forensic anthropologist because i like the idea of finding out to someone before they died . After realzig my love for taking care of people i realized that i rather take care of people and help them stay alive instead of digging them up and finding out how they died.
     Last thing you should know about me is that im very hardworking and stubborn. I like things done perfectly and if it inst ill redo and keep working till it is. I am somtimes a control freak espeacially over my grades. for most of my life i was a straight A student until the seventh grade. then i started getting B's which killed me but im really trying to get through all my classes in highschool with a grade above an 85. So now that you have learned a little bit about me i should tell you im really excited to be filming the project for aice media. i found a great partner and we dont know eachother to well but we did our powerpoint together and it came out amazing so im really excited to see what we ca create.
